Handy GPS - using an external GPS

While HandyGPS does not directly support using external GPS units, it does support receiving mock locations. You can therefore use an app like Bluetooth GPS to feed GPS locations from an external GPS into the app.

To enable mock locations, you need to get into the developer options under Settings on your phone and enable them first. If you can't see developer options, use this info to make them show up.

To be sure that you are actually using the external GPS receiver in HandyGPS, click on the button at the top left of the main page of the app and turn off Location. With this off, you should still be able to receive location updates from the external GPS via the mock locations mechanism.
