- Increase the canvas size of the image - a wide white boundary on all sides.
- Match the image to Google Earth using the "Add Image Overlay" tool.
- Once matched, ensure the matched image is 100% opaque, and that the Google Earth north point is vertical.
- Use GE Pro "Save Image" to save the resulting image as JPG etc.
- Crop the saved image to a non-rotated square or rectangle (with max 1000 x 1000 pixels)
- Once again match the newly cropped image to GE Pro, using the shift key with the resizing controls to make sure there is no warping of the image and no rotation.
- Use the GE Pro location tool to get the Lat/Lon coordinates for the newly matched image. This should also confirm zero degrees of rotation.
- Import the cropped image into Handy GPS.
