Hawkesbury River Map, 1953. You can still find traces of the old bridal trail near the bend of Mooney Mooney Creek where Floods Creek joins it, and also around the spot marked "Head of Salt Water. Crossing". If you cross the natural stone causeway that is here, you can follow the old trail for some way on the eastern bank of Mooney Mooney Creek before it gets lost amongst the braken fern. There is no bridge across Floods Creek, so it is unclear if the creek was ridden across at a shallow spot or the travellers crossed further upstream near the tidal limit of Floods Creek.
