Ourimbah State Forest
This forest is accessible from Palmdale, Yarramalong Valley and Kulnura. Its a popular spot for 4WDs and motorbikes, but there's also some good aboriginal art to find along a number of the ridges.

McPherson State Forest
Warre Warren Creek |
Angophora |
This forest is closed to vehicles, but walking and mountain bike riding seem to be allowed.
The best access is from the end of Kyola Road, near Kulnura. There is also an access point at the end of Waratah Road, Mangrove Mountain, but this
trail seems to cross some private property.
The main trail through the forest runs roughly north-south from the end of Kyola Road down to a ford at Warre Warren Creek and then up the other side towards Mangrove Mountain. The trail passes an old airstrip which has
been revegetated to such an the extent that its easy to miss.
Like Ourimbah State Forest, this area is rich in Aboriginal sites, with over 100 being recorded here.
