Handy GPS - Using KML and GPX files

When waypoints and tracklogs are exported to a KML or GPX file, they will be available from iTunes on your Mac or PC the next time you plug your iPhone into the USB port. To find the KML files, click on your phone at the top right of iTunes, select "Apps", and scroll down until you see Handy GPS under the "File Sharing" section at the bottom. Once you have downloaded the files to your Mac or PC, you can open them in Google Earth to see where you've been hiking in the context of a 3D map.

You can also use the same method to copy KML or GPX files from your Mac or PC to your iPhone.

To delete files from the Handy GPS folder on your iPhone, select them in iTunes on your PC/Mac and press the Delete key on your keyboard.

UPDATE: On current versions of Mac OSX (Catalina and later), you need to use Finder instead of iTunes to transfer files to/from Handy GPS on your iPhone. The iTunes app is no longer part of Mac OSX.
